Problem
AI's environmental impact isn't being discussed or highlighted as much as social impacts, despite being a rapidly increasing problem.
Insight
AI's environmental impacts are missing data. The majority of statistics are estimated and calculated by outside sources; not shared by the AI corporations themselves.
Solution
Put pressure on the AI industry to be transparent on their environmental impacts. Call them out when they hide, and reward when they don't.
